Decaying Light is From Chaos' first official single, written and recorded in November 2022. Originally submitted for the Cyberpunk 2077 89.7 Growl FM contest, Decaying Light is a straight-to-the-point 3 minutes song featuring hard-hitting riffs and catchy melodies all over, reminiscent of the golden era of Swedish Melodic Death Metal in the late 90's and early 2000's.
Lyrically, Decaying Light deals with current world issues, displaying the struggles between slaves and masters. Those sitting upon the throne of greed will fight to maintain their dominance upon the plebeians who struggle to survive in a broken order, afraid to lose their golden sovereignty. Ready to riot and fight back, the slaves of the world want nothing more than to bring the masters down to their knees, in fear of succombing to their corrupted will. In a sadistically ironic way, both sides live under the dark veil of the end. Tyrants and slaves share the same fight: we all fear the Decaying Light.
